There has been a Christian Foundation at ELY for more than 1300 years.
The great Cathedral known as the 'Ship of the Fens', receives neither Church nor State Aid for repairs and maintenance.

Would you like to help preserve this part of Britain's heritage for generations to come ?

Then become a Friend of Ely Cathedral.

The 'Friends of Ely Cathedral' is a Society of those who through the payment of annual subscription wish to assist the Dean and Chapter of caring for the Cathedral.

The object of the Society is the preservation of the fabric of Ely Cathedral and the general maintenance of the Cathedral, its activities and services, its ornaments and furnishings.

Many masterpieces are in poor conditions in Vicenza.
